In 2018, Star India won the broadcasting rights to the Indian Premier League, an event watched by over 300 million viewers worldwide. As part of the broadcasters relaunch of the coverage, they commissioned awards for their events from internationally renowned glass artist Peter Layton, owner of London Glassblowing. Their goal was to create not only a unique award but one which was a piece of artwork itself.
We collaborated with Star India to tell the story around the conceptualisation and birth of the trophy. Working closely with Peter Layton and his team we wanted to capture the essence of their work and delve into the fascinating world of glass artistry.
